Dr. Eric Egwuibe, Mayor of Obingwa Local Government Area, has stated his determination to drive development in Obingwa if elected in the forthcoming LG polls in Abia State.
Dr. Egwuibe who made this known in an exclusive interview with journalists, said he will ensure Obingwa receives the dividends of democracy if elected chairman.
He promised to prioritize rural road access, skills development for youths and women, empower rural women, and enhance primary healthcare centers among others.
Egwuibe revealed that his inspiration is drawn from the progress made during his tenure as Transition Chairman, where he oversees the construction of 71km roads to connect rural areas to urban centers, adding that he aims to expand this initiative, recognizing the critical need for accessible roads to facilitate economic growth.
The Mayor also emphasized the importance of skills acquisition/development, particularly for youths, stressing that it will address the skills gap in the local community, informing that he also plans to establish a comprehensive ICT hub, staffed by experts, to provide competitive skills training.
