The member representing Aba North and South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Alex Mascot Ikwechegh, has expressed satisfaction and happiness on the final commissioning of Geometric Power Station in Aba, describing it as a win for Aba community and its environs.
Hon. Alex Ikwechegh made this known while responding to newsmen in Aba during the commissioning of the power station by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who was represented by the Vice President, Kashim Shettima.
“Constant power has remained one of the major hindrance for development in our country, this power station in Aba is a great testimony. It will enhance development, increase productivity, attract investors, reduce crime and create jobs for Abians and Nigerians in general. ” ~ Hon. Alex Mascot Ikwechegh
Aba remains a centre of convergence for commercial and economic activities, not only for the South-East and South-South regions but for Nigeria and other West African countries. The commissioning of this power project will engender development, enhance the productive value of artisans in the commercial city, bring progress and promote peace in the state and beyond.
Hon. Alex Ikwechegh, in the floor of the house, has consistently expressed the need for constant power to improve industrialisation which will help increase production of goods and reduce the economic hardship faced in the country. The Geometric Power Station in Aba is a great testimony and Abia is on the right step for a positive change.
