FG Denies Proposing N105,000 as New Minimum Wage

The Federal Government says it is not true that it has proposed N105,000 as the new minimum wage for Nigerian workers.

Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, who made the rebuttal on Thursday, described the Information circulating on the Internet as false.

Newsbuka.com.ng reports that a report had emerged that the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Wale Edun, had proposed N105,000 in the new minimum wage template.

But Onanuga in a post on his X handle on Thursday said Edun did not propose N105,000 minimum wage as being speculated.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu had asked Edun to present a new wage template within two days.
