After Marathon Meeting, FG, Organized Labour Sign Agreement

The Federal Government and the Organised labour, on Monday night signed an agreement over the minimum wage controversy which include non-victimization of any worker as a result of the industrial action.

The agreement was signed after a marathon meeting brokered by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume.

Newsbuka.com.ng, gathered that the meeting was convened in response to the nationwide strike which grounded activities across the country.


After the meeting, Federal Government, said it is committed to a National Minimum Wage that is higher than N60,000 just as it was agreed that the Tripartite Committee is to meet everyday for the next one week with a view to arriving at an agreeable National Minimum Wage.
